The Best Paradise

December 31, 2011 at five in the afternoon, an encounter with the happy angels at Cottolengo Filipino in Rodriguez Rizal, a center for  the most poor, abandoned, neglected  and surrendered persons with disabilities.

For me, Cottolengo is a silent paradise for fellows like them, we are amazed by how these happy kids live here, though majority of them can't talk but you can feel and hear it from their eyes and happy faces what they want to express.

They all (100+) came from a very dark story, but through the help of the good people with big heart around them they were able to see the light they deserve and feel the equality in this world.

"They need our time" I want to do my share, one of these days I will visit them back, render my entire day playing with them and do what I can to make them feel more what is LIFE.

For those who want to help Cottolengo, you may contact the center at Telefax: 9423010

Seafood Island Cubao

Turn your ordinary dinner into a festive style dining with friends at Seafood Island in Araneta Center, Cubao.

As a hungry buddies, my friends and I hunted some restaurants that can fill our stomach with delicious and something unique in serving. We've decided to dine-in here at Seafood Island and try one of their boodle sets, the group agreed to get the "Kanyaman"  a mouthwatering  set of Tahong, bangus, Bagoong Rice, kangkong, Hipon, Talong, Okra and Lechong Kawali.

I've been here before, nothing much to say about the place aside from it's comfortable, accessible and unique. You don't have to spend more to go to a certain place that serves authentic seafood all you have to do is to go to a place that can satisfy your food trip.

As usual if the foods are great, what else do you expect?

The Best Of Taal

THE BEST OF TAAL not just the volcano and the lake.

Taal Heritage Town, a surprising town in the province of Batangas, a lot of us associated the word Taal to its famous Taal Volcano and the Taal lake without even knowing that there are lots and lots of scenic - historic and natural beauties in here, from century old houses, shrines and churches to a calmly beach resorts facing south.

Taal is a Spanish colonial town in the late 16th to 20th century and it also holds one of the prestigious places in the Philippines history.

Christmas in Zamboanga City

"SINONG NAGSASABI NA MAGULO SA ZAMBOANGA CITY?" Well, the lights can tell you how safe you are when you are in the city. I am a proud Zamboangeño, I grew up there studied and had my first job way back year 2003.

Taken by By Querilyn Aba Dec. 2011

Zamboanga City, is a city that can offer what other city can, and may give you more than what you want. City night life is just the same as Manila has, Restobars with live bands are everywhere. During daytime it's "business as usual", you can go to Barter Trade Center at Canelar,  visit some malls and drop by at the Pasalubong Center  near the Fort Pilar as well and refresh yourselves at the Paseo del mar during sun setting.

Every December, this building (City Hall) is transforming into an enchanted kingdom of lights, where colorful Christmas light decors are shining and sparkling attracting visitors to come closers and discover its beauty face to face. Promising its people the brighter city ahead.

Zamboanga City is a city for all, a simple place with natural richness that soon to show you more.

I spent my Christmas in my home town 3 years ago, and my one week vacation is not enough to rediscover the beauty of Zamboanga City.
Taken by Lance, December 2008

How to get there?
From Manila : there are three major domestic airline flights and it will only take for about 1 hr and 45mins going there.

There are also available inter island flights  (to and) from "Zamboanga City International Airport" to selected destinations in Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon (esp. Manila)

A Taste of adventure in Zamboanga read more here

Special Thanks to  Ms. Querilyn Aba for the latest photos.
