Guiwan Bus terminal is the worst station on earth

It has been three months now since I've landed back in my hometown "the city of Zamboanga" . It's kinda frustrating because I am so much in love with my Bella Hermosa Ciudad  when I was in Manila back then. Since the time I came here it is always a fun thing to me riding a bus going to and coming from somewhere in the east coast of this city three times a week.
Bienvenidos Zamboanga!
These two words are diamonds to my ears enough and perfect to be called that Zamboanga City is indeed the Latin City of Asia. Now, is the photo below can give justice to the word Bienvenidos? or it is a Mal Venidos? is this the right way we welcome visitors?

This Bus station is just one of the many fatal wounds of my Bella Hermosa. Are the local legislators ready to be Bella's doctors?

The City is booming, no questions to that. Remember our major terminals  serves as the brochures and business cards of our city but how are we going to attract investors and visitors if we have this kind of presentation? Perhaps it is just a mess.

Hasta La Vista!

June 21 is National Wellness Day

Did you know that 9 of the 10 leading causes of death in the Philippines are health related? And did you also know that just by eating better, making small lifestyle changes and doing moderate activity on most days of the week, we can reduce the risk of many diseases and increase our quality of life?

Capturing some old and new edifices in zamboanga city

The Popular City Hall Building

Touring around the heart of Zamboanga City known as the Asia’s Latin City is awesome, it was my privileged again to discover my own city since I left for Manila in 2004. This city has always been the eye of the public  and in some foreign countries because of only one controversy (they are afraid to travel to the said city for security reason) but for me this will remain the sweetest place in the world. It’s booming now. Zamboanga City is the same as other city in the Philippines, in fact  the city owns more than the other has.

Call Centers in Zamboanga

The Zamboanga ICT  (ZICT) Council a non-profit organization headed by Mr. Lowell Saavedra together with Mr. Nicholas Luff -Advisor Principal of cocurate.ca from Canada  are conceptualizing a strategy on putting up a call center / BPO offices in Zamboanga City. "Zamboanga City  is a place full of challenges and the people are surviving and with a lot of good possibilities" Mr. Luff added.

The group is encouraging all sectors in the government -- schools and local government. For schools  is to have at least  enforce a strong teaching in ICT and academe. And for local government, their support in all means they can.

Setting up a call center in Zamboanga will benefit all layers of economy from Accommodations, Transportation, Food&Beverages, Financial Institutions,  new investors to put up new mall/s and a lot more.

The call center and BPOs  industry in Zamboanga  is expected to be materialized by 2018 and it will generate thousands of jobs in Zamboanga City alone.
