Designs for Sweets and Yummies

Designing up a good menu design is not that easy as eating pasta and steak. Sometimes it will take for about 2 days to one week to come up a good one.  As an artist myself it's a tough challenge for me on how to make the food more presentable, yummy and satisfying even just in matte printed paper only.

Chefs needs do the tasting, cleaning, choosing the appropriate plate to use and even calculating the time in serving the dishes to their guests from the kitchen all the way to the dining table are their main concerns.

Concepts and Designs by Lance

Artists does almost the same thing too, in designing such menu for food like this we (artists) see to it that we have the right/good photos (from a good photographer  of course) as our main ingredient, following and arranging grids, measurements and applying colors  as a background must always be observed and needs to do the trial and error in  printing and sometimes bring this to a panel discussions if needed before printing and give it away to the guests or to your target market.

For food artists / chefs its always the smell that comes first. And for the design artists, It's always the colors that matters.

Life from UP and Down Under

BORACAY -  A great vacation and relaxation, together with my friends.  It was my first time having a simple yet kinda romantic vacation in the said island. We stayed at one of the hotels in station 2 for three days. I have three memorable experiences to share.

1.  During the landing of the plane in Kalibo International Airport I was amazingly staring at the window with my camera ready to take some birds eye view shots, I was so surprised when I saw a green field from above mid air like farm ville  so fresh to my eyes, so calm and I can even feel the simplicity of life.

2.  Island hopping, like most visitors / tourists do when in Boracay,  we did our group date Island hopping, we were able to visit from one island to another, swim and play with the colorful fishes in some of the undestroyed Islands.

3. Walking Under The Sea, we spent 15 minutes down under interacting with some sea creatures  face to face, feeding them like  cheerful babies. There's this one thing I observed some corals are dying and  destroyed, why? because of the high number of curious visitors diving in one day (just in one spot/place) .. (sigh)

Overall  the Island is still awesome, and offers unlimited happiness.

The New Face of Facebook

Is it true that Facebook is at war with some subscribers for some major reasons?

1.  FB created a pane on the side bar, same "looks"  like the twitter real time posting has where you can see updates scrolling every second counts.

2. The  left side bar of the home page was added couple of lists like the location, school, family and etc. In the google+ they set it as "Circles"

3. The update box turned into almost the same as the google+ where you can add location and choose a group or friends who can only read your post.

4. When you upload photos the system will automatically arrange them into a set card or  grid type,  some are still in loved with the previous version way, but for me I like it.

Personally I like this new format this is more interactive, well engineered and well planned. but the only thing that I believe that's gone is the "uniqueness. Well, this 6-year old networking site is evolving willing to show to the world what is the meaning of endless POSSIBILITIES.
