Great Santa Cruz Beach, Zamboanga City

The Great and Little Santa Cruz Islands are, arguably, this city's best beaches, and one of the country's best island beaches destination. In its ideal natural state, there is no comparison to the uniquely beautiful "pinkish" sand (a coloration effect of pulverized rare red Organ-pipe Coral ( tubipora musica ) from eons of surf erosion mixed in with the white sand) and colorful coral reef just a few feet away from the shore of the Great Santa Cruz Island. The nearby Little Santa Cruz Island has beautiful white sand instead, and is a military installation (read: Navy resort). Snorkeling and scuba diving are excellent diversions for the sun worshipers with lots of colorful marine life to experience in excellent water visibility, depending on weather conditions. In the Great Santa Cruz Island, there are some covered huts around for picnicking (food and water can be brought in), and adequate bathroom facilities.

Mactan Island, Cebu

Mactan Island is more than just a beach; it is an island paradise; the seashore is a sight to behold in the early morning light, but it will also bedazzle you in the nighttime. Whether you are on your own, or with your friends, the sparkling waters and sand will simply amaze you.

Panglao, Bohol
Panglao Beach not only provides you with a lovely view of the calm seas, but a stroll along the seashore will enable you to take in the beauty of the entire island itself, from the sea, to the skies, right down to the whispering winds.

Tamaraw Beach, Mindoro

The island beach is actually in the Pacific Ocean, and this location provides for some fantastic waves, walls of water that can present a challenge even to the most skilled surfer.

Boracay White Beach

Despite the emergence of a number of other popular tourist destinations, for many people the ultimate party place is still Boracacy, and the best beach is still Boracay White Sand Beach.

Measuring about 3 miles (about 5 km.) the beach is noted for the cool breeze emanating from the waters, and the soft clear blue skies. Because there are plenty of accommodations nearby, Boracay White Beach, especially in the summer, is filled with people, frolicking in the waters.

Although most people go there in the daylight to get some of the sun, it is also a good idea to visit the place at night time.

Not only are there likely to be less people, but the combination of the softly blowing wind, the tranquil sea and the soft white sand beneath, plus the sight of the stars above, can make for a truly unique and exhilirating experience.

Malapascua Beach, Cebu
Located at the farthest end of the island province (off the northeast coast), the island offers plenty of attractions, leading many to consider as the next big thing for divers and beach lovers to explore. With its exquisite sands, soothing greens, and brilliant azure waters, you will feel truly at peace, and at one with nature.

Pagudpud Beach, Ilocos Norte

The most famous beach destination in the Ilocos, Pagupud is quickly becoming one of the Philippines’ top beaches, as more and more people are discovering the treasures of the land.

Its crystal clear waters are comparable with those of the other shores in the country. It is also not lacking exotic marine life which underwater divers can marvel at. Add the smooth fine sands, and you have the complete ingredients for a perfect beach.

DUDA Doubts

When you have Doubts, you have to consider the words: WAIT, CLARIFY and CONFIRM.

Not just click and click and post, coz sometimes you'll hurt/affect someone's emotion. DUDA is a God's given Gift to all mankind (feeling). But sharing it in roughest way may sometimes cause danger.

Pambihirang duda na yan! sana gamitin man lang sa tamang paraan. And keep it yourself kasi duda nga.

Doubt: a status between belief and disbelief, involves uncertainty or distrust or lack of sureness of an alleged fact, an action, a motive, or adecision. Doubt brings into question some notion of a perceived "reality", and may involve delaying or rejecting relevant action out of concerns for mistakes or faults or appropriateness. Some definitions of doubt emphasize the state in which the mind remains suspended between two contradictory propositions and unable to assent to either of them

Doubt sometimes tends to call on reason. Doubt may encourage people to hesitate before acting, and/or to apply more rigorous methods. Doubt may have particular importance as leading towards disbelief or non-acceptance.

Child Abuse and Its effects

Children have that right to be loved. But there are those who suffer child abuse in the very sense of the word. Child abuse could either be physical, mental or sexual abuse to children. This might have certain adverse effects on the child so they must be given extra support and attention.

Physical abuse concerns maltreatments of children in a physical way. This means hurting the children physically, or not giving them proper nutrition. Emotional abuse or mental abuse, on the other hand, is about abuse in children which affects primarily their emotions. This includes saying hurtful words to children, as well as scolding them often that lower their self esteem. Sexual abuse, however, is abuse that concerns the sexual attributes of a child. This is one of the worst cases of child abuse.

Causes of Child Abuse

Like any other abuse, child abuse also has a cause. There are many causes of child abuse. The most prominent one among the causes is mental illness, as well as psychological problems. The tendency is that people who are not in their right minds, could easily do harm to children, whether intentional or not.

Also, family problems are major causes of child abuse. Parents under the power of drugs could easily hurt their children. Plus, financial problems could invoke parents or other members of the family to abuse children as an outlet of their emotions. Stress could also be a root cause of child abuse. It is good to know the cause of abuse on a certain child so that the treatment and the actions could be well defined.

Effects of Child Abuse in Children

Children who have experienced child abuse are likely to have some emotional and psychological problems whether they display them or not and in worse cases, a child might have suicidal tendencies because of this. The effects of child abuse on a child depends on how great the abuse is, the greater the abuse, the greater the effect on the overall state of the child.

Depression, stress and trauma are also some of the effects of child abuse in children. Abused children also exhibit conditions like difficulty in building up relationships in people, low self image, eating disorders, as well as physical disabilities. Child abuse could also lower the self worth of the child who experienced it.
